ABOUT US
Wags and Whiskers, Mobile AL is a 501c3 FOSTER based animal rescue along the Gulf Coast. We do not have a brick and mortar facility. All of our adoptable animals are in Foster homes. We take in dogs from local shelters, strays, and from individuals who are in need of help. We can only take in dogs that we have a foster space available for and that space is limited due to the sheer number of unwanted dogs in our area.

& FAQ
Helpful Information
DOES WAGS & WHISKERS HAVE A LOCATION THAT I CAN STOP BY AND VISIT?
We are a foster-based rescue which means all of our available animals are placed in loving foster homes. Wags and Whiskers Mobile, AL does NOT have a brick and mortar facility. If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our available animals please submit an adoption application.
HOW DO I APPLY TO ADOPT?
Our adoption application is available under the adoption application tab or on our Facebook page.
WHAT ARE THE ADOPTION FEES?
All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (at least 2 sets for puppies), de-wormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if at least 16 weeks) and spay/neuter.

Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by.
All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!
HOW CAN I HELP?
We are always in need of fosters. Apply to be a foster by filling out our foster application under the applications tab.

I HAVE AN ANIMAL I CAN NO LONGER CARE FOR, CAN YOU TAKE THEM?
Before you decide to give up your pet entirely please look into the community resources that are available.

If you need to relinquish your dog due to aggression (ex: biting a family member) there is a low chance we will be able to assist. While we wish we could help every dog in need we can not put our fosters at risk.

Please keep in mind how many friendly, non bite history dogs are being euthanized in shelters.
